Google Play account finally taken up

As accounted for here, a Google Play account was finally taken up under the likeChrist Ministries. So we could at least make available (there as well) the few  Android applications we are developing (for reasons presented on the same post). While we indeed, currently suffer an under supply of resources necessary for further development of these applications, we resolved on offering them there free of charge (including the avoidance of selling ads which is an Read more…

likeChrist Ministries incorporated as a Non-Profit Company

While I may only be able to only be able to detail out in the future exactly how, I feel this is the best legal entity for our intented project-types. And it could be incorporated the same day with a min or 3 directors as opposed to an NPO that seemed to require at least 5 and a 2 months turnaround. For which myself, my brother and wife accordingly stood as candidates for directors. I Read more…

A Christian friendly Android keyboard application

LC Keyboard is a Christian oriented keyboard application for the Android platform. It is developed and maintained by the likeChrist – intented to stand out as a Christian friendly keyboard for the Android OS. Currently, only a pure AOSP version is offered with virtually no added modifications made thus far. And the only the only Christian offered value is found in the absense of Emojies, GIFs or Stickers – which are often vastly vain, inapropriate Read more…

Blurring web images as an alternative to blocking

In the continued quest to observe Christian holiness (without which non shall see the Lord) I have actively sought after ways to try and keep safe online – more so as one who keeps an online job. Actively looking out for both mobile as well as PC browsers offering features that compliment a Christian friendly internet surfing experience. Be it through natively offered features or via those available as extentions/add-on. While I am still yearning Read more…

Strongly considering the Google play store

I have of late been further developing the messenger app dicussed here as well as this one browser app found as an open source. Both of which eventually earned their separate subdomains, where their details were published and APKs hosted for free download. Up until now they were only available as APKs from there and never on Google Play Store as well. This was  so mainly because I have for sometime now could not find Read more…

A hopeful instant mesenger client for Android purchased

While a fair progress was made with the open source template app discussed here, I had  issue intergrating missing and yet basic features such as image sharing – due to an unworthy developing background. For which reason I had for sometime considered the option of buying a ready built client code (both for Android and iOS). And when a the oppotunity to secure one for Android (in the Lord’s providence) presented itself, I embranced it Read more…

An instant messaging service project attempted

As desired, I accordingly undertook an instant messing service project. I indeed still feel we need to either develop our own wholesome messenger or we are better off on sticking with text messaging/SMS as pagan owned instant messengers are often found to embrace features that do not complement Christian holiness or omit those that would – such as inability to disable contacts’ profile pictures, etc. While PC and iOS clients are also intended, only an Read more…

How I could not find Whatsapp at all Christian friendly

While biblical Christians may enjoy the utility of a great many non-Christian pioneered/headed services and goods (usable out of the box or with a little Christian modifications), it is not uncommon to come across pagan utilities that so declares itself as the world’s own by allowing inadequate to no modifications options. Of cause in as many such cases, Christians should be able to discern and back away accordingly. After which they may then consider mobilizing Read more…

Some measures biblical Christians may adopt to help keep safe online

I am convinced the utility of the internet is appreciated not only by pagans but also amongst the redeemed. But given its possibly injurious nature, Christian believers must need only use it with caution or it may be for their lives. While some safety measures, such as keeping away from voluntarily requesting lewd or vain content, may be obvious to any biblically zealous Christian, a handful may not. Which is why I, on this dispatch, Read more…

Web page ads blocking and Christian ethics

Ads monetizing of web content and the need for ad blockers While I must assert to that whether or not the particular content being consumed (at any given time) is consistent with Christian holiness is another study, I expect a great many earnest and biblical Christians consume internet based content on daily basis. Free as well as paid web content made available both individual as well as corporate publishers. While some free web content publishers Read more…

The first formal animation on the humanoid assets

Sample video clip here: https://videos.likechrist.co/2019/09/12/a-formal-animated-clip-on-recently-acquired-assets-wip/ A simple (and yet professional and cute looking so I find) animation project recently undertaking. In continued concern of aggravated render time for higher resolutions, I thought I would try this one render engine that the 3D software used features. It is said to be less realistic looking but I find it quite complementary for these assets. I recently realized that the city assets used on the test animation for Read more…

Committing to debug all published games first

I have just managed to get the PC version of the 3D city driving game (mentioned here) onto a fairly usable state and expect to publish it right away. I am not sure if I should compile an Android version first. Especially since the PC version may be a little heavy for some low-end on board graphics chips. But I am otherwise committing to try and debug all published games prior to undertaking a new Read more…

Alms expected to get the first marketing campaign

After months of working on the likeChrist web infrastructures, I have yet complete the basics on generally all domains (subs and main included). With a fair amount of general cleanup, proof reading, page edits as well as feature integration/modification work still pending. The Alms platform is however a lot usable at this point and can now quite fairly serve both giving as well as needy saints. I in fact have deliberately spent a lot more Read more…

Settled for likeChrist.co for the time being

After some earnest comparisons, I settled for the .co TLD. As I journal this, I am about 30% through the actual files migration process. While the URLs and their respecting SSL certificates are already functional. Being something I do not do very often, I run into frequent dead ends requiring prior research or refreshing breaks. Working about a stretch on overall progress (been around two days now). The domain name and SSL certificates were secured Read more…

Domain hosting plan finally upgraded

As noted here, I already had reasons to believe that the hosting plan then at hand could use upgrading. But I did not expect to hike resource usage just by carrying out modifications. Which should also explain why I first had to suspect poor signal – until I had to access the control panel (cPanel) and found that the CPU usage peaked to 99% (100% at one point). Coming to think of it, I certainly Read more…
